Coming from a middle-class family, we are taught since childhood that we should stay miles away from cops, especially Indian cops. Of Course our elders speak out of experience. But just for curiosity sakes and if you are not on the wrong side of the law, a trip to a cop station can be quite intriguing and funny.
Things like, the way cops are sooo curious to know the pay package of IT folks, their words “we are always very fascinated by your fat pay package” and the obvious reply “Sir, we get paid peanuts” Lol, even our fathers never push us soo much to reveal our pay package. Not that IT folks mint money but as compared to other industries, we are better off . I do understand the fascination cops have towards our pay packages, they actually get paid peanuts, but I am sure by the end of the day they are richer than a lot of us 🙂 God bless them.
They also love chatting, glib talkers especially if there is a woman sitting in the chair infront, at the same time they are very scared of women. The realisation how powerful we women are, is great. Just one complaint from a woman can create stir up a storm. But it is sad to observe how women who are abused and disrespected are ignorant of their rights and evil women play around with the law beautifully.
Coming back to cops, it is a misconception that cops are almighty powerful all the time. Cops are helpless in a lot of situations too, they are like HR’s in a company, shackled by law and rules. At the same time, cops can very much manipulate the law as and when required behind the scenes, but ofcourse we all know this, this is India!!!
