First and foremost, I found it pointless to do touristy things in France. You would probably enjoy Southern France more if you truly want to explore France. Nevertheless, it was ok for me, was not greatly impressed by France, though I did enjoy wining and dining there.
I had thought I will find it weird to visit Eiffel tower alone (my bf could not make it) since it is the cliched place for couples to go, however, to my surprise, I did have fun and a good chat with some fellow travellers.
