Where were you all my life?

If had a nickel for every time I heard this sentence I would be able to plan a nice vacation by now. Hold on, I am not boasting, I am sure a lot of women get to hear these sentences too and this is normal or superficial in my perspective something I laugh upon and narrate to my parents and friends. They are an end result of bad sex ratio in India nothing else we are no Miss World’s sitting around here, though it does not mean we don’t look good eh 😉

My mother usually laughs and tells me I could easily write a book on my experiences. What makes me smile is the confidence with which such sentences are delivered, do men really think we are dumb? and are men not really aware of our “yeah right!!” mental replies to such sentences, though actually I would not deny I have come across some pretty dumb lasses who fall for such lines but do men not get vibes like we get vibes from whoever we speak to, at least I do. Put your hands up if any of the smart guys got irritated 🙂 I know exceptions are always there, don’t take it to heart fellas.

Here are some of the mental replies I have given to some men at some point of time:

I am crazy about you -yeah right!

I love you – you just met me, you crazy man!

I can’t live without you -really? woww

I will commit suicide if I don’t get you -Interesting! ok!

You look nice- ahmm do I know you? creepy!

Babe, you wana go out for coffee- Wha with you?

I want to marry you -Jeez

Where were you all my life?- yeah, was just waiting for you

And many more I could go on but I am very busy today, I have to go back and sleep you see.

PS: I have recently started courting non-Indian men, I am not commenting if I am currently single or not but of course I could/ would write a separate blog about their cliched sentences and ways. Hopefully, they don’t write love letters in blood.

-D
